When will my food arrive?

Deliveries arrive on Mondays and Thursdays between 10:30 AM and 3 PM.

Deliveries outside of the highlighted zones below are delivered overnight and arrive on Tuesdays and Fridays between 9 AM and 5 PM.
We can ship all frozen goods across Nova Scotia, and all vegetarian meals, snacks, and drinks to New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.

How much is delivery?

$5 - Pickup at Dartmouth Crossing at Take It Outside

$4 - Halifax Peninsula  & Downtown Dartmouth (Orange Zone)

$10 - Bedford, Clayton Park, Dartmouth, Cole Harbour (Green Zone)

$15 - Fall River, Lwr. Sackville, Timberlea, Cow Bay, North Preston (Blue Zone)

$15 - Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island (Overnight Delivery)


What if I'm not home to receive Sauté?

No problem! We recommend leaving a cooler outside your door for our drivers. If that's not possible, please choose from one of our pick-up options.

I have dietary restrictions, can you accommodate?

While our frozen foods have set menus, we can accommodate certain requests. Please contact our kitchen at or customer success at

How much does each serving cost?

Each frozen serving is priced between $11-$15

Do you use preservatives?

We can proudly say that we do not. All of our products are prepared with fresh, quality ingredients sourced from a number of local and Canadian suppliers.  

What are the recommended heating instructions for my dinners?

For best results, defrost meals completely, then place in oven at 350F for approximately 30 minutes or in microwave on high until food reaches an internal temperature of 165F. 
The bottom (black) portion of our frozen dinner packaging is microwave and oven friendly, the clear lid is not.
Note: Our fresh packaging is not oven friendly.

When do I have to order by? 

All orders must be placed by Monday at midnight for Thursday delivery or Friday at midnight for Monday delivery.

Can I return my smoothie and soup bottles?

Yes, you can! When you do, we'll give you a discount code for your next order.

Heating instructions:

Dinners and lunches are reheatable in the microwave. All food is pre-cooked and only requires reheating. 

Alternatively, remove your meals from the containers and place in an oven-safe dish. Reheat in oven until food is warm throughout. 


Pickup Locations:


Creative Crossing at 5781 Charles Street, Studio 2 between 12–5pm on Mondays and Thursdays.


Take It Outside, 196 Hector Gate in Dartmouth Crossing, between 3-7pm* on Mondays and Thursdays.

*Take It Outside is open until 9 pm for parts of the year, but we recommend showing up by 7 pm. 

About Our Fresh Plans:


  • Our Monday to Wednesday lunch plan includes three lunches 
  • Our Thursday to Friday lunch plan includes two lunches
  • Want five lunches for Monday through Friday? Add both plans to your cart and we'll see you on Mondays and Thursdays before noon!

All lunch options are customized to your dietary preferences, which you can fill out during checkout.


Our dinner packages offer a range of options for one person or multiple people.  If you wish to receive meals for the entire week (Monday-Friday), simply add multiple packages to your cart prior to checkout.

I’ve signed up, now what?

We are excited to have you on board! You should have received an email from us confirming your order. The next step is to create an account with us so you can easily manage your orders.

Deliveries start on Mondays at 10:30 AM for lunches and dinners. If you’ve ordered a dinner plan, we recommend that you keep your Sauté meals chilled until supper time. All lunches are served ready to eat, and our dinners require some reheating which can be done in the microwave or oven.

By what day do I have to sign up?

All orders must be placed by Friday at midnight for Monday and by Monday at midnight for Thursday. All other orders will jump to the next week.



Does Sauté cater to groups as well?

Yes, we do! Sauté provides individual salads to groups of five people and up! We're ideal for a client or team meeting, lunch and learn, presentation, or simply if you want your group to enjoy a healthy (and delicious) meal.

How do I pause my subscription?

  1. Visit your account online by clicking here
  2. Click "Manage Subscriptions" in the top left corner of the page
  3. Click "Cancel" on the right-hand side (you can reactivate anytime)

What happens on statutory holidays?

Sauté is closed on statutory holidays and will bump orders one day to accommodate the change. 

Something came up and I need to reschedule delivery, how do I do this?

Simply send us an email at and we'll take care of you.



Is your food locally sourced?

We always focus on providing the freshest, best-tasting meals. If that means using local ingredients then we go for it! We like to keep it as local as possible without sacrificing taste or quality.

Are your ingredients organic?

We use organic ingredients when it makes sense and fits our standards. A lot of organic food comes from far away, which can offset the benefits to everyone.

How healthy are your meals?

Our philosophy on healthy food is cutting out unnecessary salts, fats, and sugars without sacrificing taste. At the end of the day, you have to enjoy what you eat. Sauté also has some of the leading nutrition experts in the area advising us on our menu. If you’re a dietitian, feel free to get in touch!

How long will my food stay fresh?

Our meals are made fresh and ready to eat the day of. In saying that, meals will remain delicious for up to three days when refrigerated.

I have allergies, can I still get Sauté?

Of course! When you sign up for Sauté, we have a page that allows you to enter your dietary preferences. If there’s an allergy that isn’t listed on our site, get in touch with us as we may be able to accommodate.

Do you offer gluten-free options?

Yes, we do; however, we cook with ingredients that contain gluten in our kitchen.

What about vegetarian or vegan options?

We offer vegetarian options, but not vegan. Visit our friends at EnVie for vegan dinners!




I received a gift card for Sauté, how do I redeem it?

Your Sauté gift card will come with a code that can be applied during checkout under the Coupon/Gift Card field. Simply enter that code and your Shopping Cart balance will update. 

Gift cards can be used for multiple purchases and the balance will update accordingly.

Note: Gift cards can't be applied to subscription products due to a limitation with our website. They can only be applied to products that allow one-time purchases. If you wish to purchase a subscription item for someone, you do have an option:

Creative Workaround - Purchase a subscription as you would for yourself, but enter the gift recipients address under Shipping Details during checkout. This will allow you to pay for a gift without the recipients' involvement. If you create an account during checkout, use a password that you can share with the recipient so that they can make changes to their dietary and delivery preferences.
